Nowadays, an increasing number of patients are being treated with orthodontics in adulthood, especially since the appearance of clear aligners due to the aesthetic improvement they offer.

The answer is yes, at present both techniques offer very similar results, the difference is that with braces the patient’s collaboration is not required, whereas with aligners the patient’s collaboration is key to the success of the treatment.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR RETAINERS AFTER ORTHODONTICS?

Retention at the end of treatment is key so that the teeth do not return to their original position. The need for retention and above all the type of retainer, fixed, removable or both, in the upper or lower arch or both, is individualised in each case.
